Captis provides reliableflow monitoring, powered by a replaceable battery on Australia's largest telemetry network with support for NBIoT.
The Captis by Kallipr is designed to be small in size; run for extended periods of time on a single replaceable battery; and be Cat–M1 and NBIoT compatible for use within LTE–M and NBIoT coverage areas. The Captis is available with either an Internal or External LTE antenna for wireless water meter monitoring. All variants are housed in the same IP68 rated enclosure for harsh Australian conditions.
See the Frequently Asked Questions page for answers to common Captis questions.

Yes, the Captis Pulse, Multi and Pulse Lite battery can be replaced. Refer to the Help Centre for more information.
The device’s radio in the Captis utilises the 700Mhz Band NB-IoT / LTE-M (aka Cat-M1).
No, it is not required. The starting meter count is to be submitted as part of the LID certification.
Yes, the Captis can be mounted inside an enclosed area, however an external LTE antenna must be used. The antenna lead must be routed to an open area where radio signal is less obstructed.
The Captis has a Manufacturers warranty condition that the device hardware temperature is maintained between -20°C and +50°C. Hence it is recommended to have sort of protection against direct heat.
The Captis has an IP rating of IP68. With regard to waterproofing of the SMA connector, when the SMA connector is securely fastened (finger tight only) to the Captis’ SMA connector, the seal which is enclosed within the connector (on the antenna side) creates a seal against the housing preventing moisture intrusion. Further protection can be added if required by the installer by using a small piece of resin filled heat shrink or self-amalgamating tape to further protect the connector.
Yes, the battery can be replaced. For the NSW Non-urban Water Metering Program, there is a requirement for a DQP to revalidate the metering equipment every 5 years for a closed conduit meter and every 12 months for an open channel meter. It is expected that at this time the batteries would be replaced.
Yes, tamper screws can be fitted to the underside of the Captis device so tamper seals can be installed.
